Linda Lou Garner Pollock Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Linda Lou Garner Pollock, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Lexington. She was born January 29, 1936 in Henderson County to the late Wilburn and Veler Millner Garner. She was always there for her family. She endured many hardships raising three boys early in life, raising cotton crops for survival in the 50’s and 60’s, then public work for Salant/Salant Clothing, Brown Shoe Co., and Century Electric before health issues required her to become a homemaker. She was a very dedicated provider. For the last 20 years, she enjoyed flea markets and going to the local square dances when she was able. She had many friends and memories and her family does too. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Linda was preceded in death by her son, Glynn Pollock; her parents; four sisters, Lucy Parham Blackstock, Bonnie Latham, Betty Jean Bruntz, and Gloria Ann Blackstock Yelverton; and her brother, George Wesley Garner. Survivors include her two sons, Lynn Pollock (Teresa) and Denny Pollock (Tina); six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday 1-9 PM and on Saturday 10 AM until time of service at 1 PM.
