Rev. Henry Duain McCrury

It is with great sadness the family of Rev. Henry McCrury announces his passing. Rev. McCrury was born on October 22, 1936 in McCrury, TX. He passed from this life after a long struggle with cancer on February 25, 2005. Funeral services for Rev. McCrury will be at the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church 333 Old Humboldt RD. Jackson, TN on Monday February 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is responsible for the arrangements. Visitation for Reverend McCrury will be Saturday February 26, 2005 from 4 PM to 9 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 9 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington, TN. Visitation at the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church will be on Monday February 28, 2005 beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Lexington immediately following the funeral. Rev. McCrury is the youngest son of Charlie and Lorena McCrury, both of whom are deceased. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Wanza O’Neal, Oleta Briggs, Charlie (Red) McCrury Jr., Celestine Rupard and Dalton McCrury. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Louise Jones McCrury of Lexington, TN., three sons and their spouses David and Georgetta McCrury, of Lexington, TN, Rev. Nathan and Christine McCrury of Lexington, TN, and Rev. Timothy and Andrea McCrury of Lexington, TN. Rev. McCrury is also survived by nine grandchildren April Barnett, Jonathon McCrury, Rachel McCrury, Aaron McCrury, Charity McCrury, Hope McCrury, Caleb McCrury, Anthony McCrury, Kenneth McCrury and two great grandchildren Anna Barnett and Chandler McCrury. He is also survived by three sisters Patsy Jumper of Andrews, TX, Maxine Johnson of Carlsbad, NM, Alene McCoy of Garland, TX, several nieces and nephews. Reverend McCrury gave his life to the cause of Christ. He and Bonnie were the pastors of 6 churches in West Tennessee and were missionaries to Indonesia, the island of Mauritius and the Ukraine. His ministry began in 1955 upon completion of Bible College at Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, MS. It has spanned 49 years since its beginning. During his ministry he has been blessed to see thousands baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. His primary responsibilities overseas were teaching in the Bible Schools of the respective field of labor as well as evangelism. Rev. McCrury was also involved in numerous overseas trips while he was pastoring in the United States. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and were touched by his life and ministry. A special fund has been established at the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church 333 Old Humboldt Rd, Jackson, TN. It is requested that contributions be made to this fund to aid Foreign Bible Schools.
