Mrs. Mary Sue Williams

Mary Sue Williams, age 80, was called to her heavenly home on December 7, 2006 after a long illness. She was born on New Years Day, 1926. The daughter of the late W. C. Boling and Annie Gladys Boling. She spent most of her life in Lexington, TN, attending Lexington City School and graduating from Lexington High School in 1945. Mary Sue married in the Williams' Family Home her childhood playmate and High School Sweetheart, Paul Williams on July 22, 1948. Theirs was a match made in Heaven. They were the love of each other's life. They had been married over 58 years at the time of her death. She leaves along with her husband, a loving and devoted daughter, Judy Carol Williams (David Pope). She is also survived by one sister, Clara Faye Roberts (John L. Roberts). She was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. Roy Boling, and one sister, Ruth Boling Webb. Mary Sue spent her adult working years in the medical field. Her first job after graduating from high school was with Dr. Warren Ramer, Sr. as his nurse and receptionist. She worked at the Lexington Methodist Hospital for many years. She retired in 1988 after 43 years in the medical service. She was loved and respected for the care and compassion she showed for the patients that came her way. She leaves a host of nephews and nieces and many friends. Mary Sue made friends with everyone she came in contact with. She had a loving personality and touched a lot of lives. The nurses and aids at Lexington Manor lovingly called her "Ms. Mary". She was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ and a devoted mother and wife. She will be truly missed. During her younger days, she was an avid basketball fan of the Lexington teams. One of her favorite passtimes was watching her husband and daughter compete in horse shows and water sports. She loved camping in their travel trailer and pleasure boating on the area lakes and Tennessee River. After se retired, she became a member of the (Golden Circle Travelers') Holiday Rambler Club and she was Secretary and Treasurer, while her husband was President of the club. She enjoyed making trips with the club before her health began to fail. Visitation will be at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington Thursday night from 5-9PM and Friday 8AM until time of service. Funeral services will be Friday, December 8, 2006 at 3PM in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
