Funeral services for Mr. Billy Gene Kelley, age 79, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Bro. Tommy Crocker and Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery with full military honors. Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kelley passed away Monday in Jackson. He was born June 20, 1931 in Scotts Hill to the late Clois Thomas and Bertie Francis Laster Kelley. Mr. Kelley retired after 2o years services with the U. S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam and Germany, and later retired after 20 years as a mail carrier with the U. S. Postal Service. He also owned C. T. Kelley Construction and drove for Dale McPeake. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington and the Jack Hay Sunday School Class. He enjoyed visiting the Tennessee River and fishing. Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Patsy Lindsey Kelley of Lexington, his daughters, Debra (Paul) Peterson of Yuma, their children, Kellie (Mark) Fowler, Eli, & Saywer, and Nicholas (Candice) Peterson, and Lilliana, Lisa (John) Hill of Bean Station, TN, their children, Carla, Gracie, and Jacob, and one brother, Jerry Kelley of Chattanooga. Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by one daughter, Carla Kelley and one brother, James Kelley.
