Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Duke Davis, age 94, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Corinth Baptist Church in Darden with Bro. Don Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davis passed away late Wednesday at her home. She was born January 4, 1916 in Henderson County to the late James Carless and Maude Wilkins Duke. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Floyd Davis, three brothers, Ohlen, Van, and Roy Duke, and a grandson, Brett Edward Davis. Survivors include her son, Larry E. Davis (Brenda) of Darden, three brothers, Guy Loyce Duke of Jackson, Edward C. Duke (Nancy) of Hendersonville, and J. C. Duke, Jr. (Linda) of Darden, two sisters, Lorene Maxwell of Dyer and Alma McDaniel of Lexington, one grandson, Dustin Shane Davis (Brandi), one great granddaughter, Ella Kate Davis, and two step great grandchildren, C. J. and Callie Whitfield.
