Graveside services for Mr. Rufus Bailey, age 83, are scheduled for 1:00 PM,Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Lexington Cemetery with Bro. Gilbert Cubbison officiating. Burial will follow. Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bailey passed away Sunday in Lexington. He was born May 22, 1926 in Bartlett, TN to the late Robert A. and Etta Scott Bailey. He was a retired building inspector for Shelby County Code Enforcement. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Bettye Jean Bailey and a sister, Jane Hastings. Survivors include his son, Art Bailey (Stacey) of Lexington, one grandchild, Dylan Houseal, two sisters, Era Mae Mitcheson and Tommy Lou Dexter, a brother, J. C. Bailey, and a half-brother, Robert Turnbow.
