Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Rhodes Franklin, age 102, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Ringold and Bro. Bill Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Center Ridge Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Franklin passed away early Thursday in Lexington. She was born February 3, 1908 in Henderson County to the late James Wiley and Luda Ringold Rhodes. She was retired owner of Franklin Grocery and the oldest member of Center Ridge Methodist Church. Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joe Lee Franklin and three brothers, Edgar, Hurcle, and Parker Rhodes. Survivors include her son, James W. Franklin (Beth) of Wildersville, her daughter, Barbara Ann James (Ronald) of Lexington, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
