Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Mae Moody are scheduled for 12:00 PM Monday, September 21 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home at Scotts Hill with Bro. Curtis Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Mrs. Moody, the widow of Edward Moody, was a retired cook at South Side School and member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She died Friday, September 18, 2009 in Parsons. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Romine (George) of Reagan; her son, Dennis Moody (Cheryl) of Scotts Hill; two grandchildren: Christy Smith and Whitney Moody; two step-grandchildren: Tony Maness and Wade Romine; two great grandchildren: Noah and Will Smith; two step great grandchildren: Kirby and Kendall Maness; a sister, Laverne Smith (Jerry) of Milam; two brothers: Elwayne Moody and Raymond Moody (Dorothy) both of Henderson. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Connie, Paul, Dewayne, Lynn and Charles Moody.
